Fruit juice fact

100% fruit juice, including freshly squeezed juice, is a high sugar drink. Even though it contains natural fruit sugar, the amount of sugar in fruit juice is almost the same as that in soft drink and cordial. Whole fruit also contains some sugar, but also many other vitamins and minerals (especially fibre), which makes it a more filling and healthy snack than a glass of juice.

It's important to limit fruit juice and other sweet drinks to an occassional treat for kids.
